Hello "obsolete" Mac users,
Long-time lurker here! I only recently made an account and didn’t really want to self-promote, but I could use your feedback, so here it goes:
I'm the maintainer of Aquafox, a fork of TenFourFox, very much like InterWebPPC. In fact, it picks up where InterWebPPC left off by continuing to provide up-to-date compiled binaries of TenFourFox, along with a few more optimizations.
The README.md on GitHub (link) has a full description and a Q&A, and I’ve written more in-depth about the history, reasoning, and process of the project in the announcement post on my blog on Neocities (link), along with a second article (link) reflecting on my plans for the future.
Aside from Aquafox, I've also been working on AquafoxBox. You can find both applications listed below.
Update Jul 1, 2025: Aquafox 2.3 released, updates security to 128.12 ESR. More info and downloads here: #266

So, I'd say download the browser from the releases page on GitHub (link), take it for a spin, and leave a comment. Any form of feedback is appreciated!
Jun 29, 2025: Version 1.0 originally released on GitHub and posted on Ko-fi, now also posted on MacRumors. #264

Aquafox
Aquafox is an independent fork of TenFourFox, incorporating tweaks from InterWebPPC and TenFourFoxPEP. Initially, Aquafox started as a continuation of InterWebPPC, providing precompiled binaries that were up-to-date with the upstream code of TenFourFox. However, since version 2.0, it has diverged from this path and now receives updates separately from TenFourFox.Update Jul 1, 2025: Aquafox 2.3 released, updates security to 128.12 ESR. Update Apr 1, 2025: Aquafox 2.2 released, updates security to 128.9 ESR. More info and downloads here: #233
Update Jan 5, 2025: Aquafox 2.1 introduces a security update schedule and updates to 128.6 ESR. More info and downloads here: #186
Update Nov 25, 2024: Aquafox 2.0 is out now, bumping the security to 128 ESR. More info and downloads in this post: #175
Update Aug 25, 2024: I’m pleased to announce that the new version, 1.0.0, has now been released! Thank you to everyone who provided feedback during the beta phase. #54
Original post: I released the first beta on July 25th this year, and although I'm not expecting big issues, I still think it's good practise to release the software this way and ask for feedback before launching version 1.0.0. Even if that means the only change is the absence of the beta label.

AquafoxBox
After Aquafox, it's only natural that AquafoxBox followed suit. TenFourFoxBox creates "foxboxes" with TenFourFox as the backend, and InTheBox creates "application boxes" with InterWebPPC as the backend. Now, with the introduction of AquafoxBox, you can do the same but with Aquafox as the backend.Jun 29, 2025: Version 1.0 originally released on GitHub and posted on Ko-fi, now also posted on MacRumors. #264
