Hi All,

I'd like to introduce my first app FileMinutes. I developed it after realising how hard it is to work with files in macOS. The app is exclusively focusing on finding files as fast as possible and providing list of actions to perform on them.

I'd like to offer a special discount of 60% to MacRumors readers. Use the code M3MJU3OA to redeem.

Hi all,
I’m back with an exciting update on FileMinutes
One thing that’s always annoyed me is trying to search inside a specific folder like “Downloads” or “Projects”. But most search tools I’ve tried either partially support it or require multiple steps.

FileMinutes solves it in the simplest way possible:
  • Projects>report → finds “report” inside any folder named “Projects”
  • report<Projects → starts searching with the file name and then narrows down to folders named “Projects” (great when you're not sure where the file is)
You can also:
  • Use absolute paths: ~/Downloads>screenshot
  • Filter by file type: Downloads>report .pdf
In addition, there are more that helps to get things done.
  • Find files by type, path, content, or name
  • Browse the file system with arrow keys
  • Add favourites for quick access
  • Browse files from any Finder window directly in FileMinutes
