Still here.
So, my system has been locking up (PowerMac G4) so I ran Repair Permissions and Verify Disk. On Verify Disk, it returned "Invalid extent entry" and "Invalid catalog record type", and says the "underlying task reported failure on exit".

I have a question.

My Tiger installation DVD fails so I can't reinstall the OS using the disk. If I used SuperDuper to duplicate the data on this drive to another drive, would this problem go away, or is it related to the installation itself?

In other words, is the problem disk related or data related, does anyone know?

I have plenty of other drives I can use if that will solve the issue, but I'd rather know beforehand if possible.

Thanks. :)
