Invalid Password - Gmail set up as Exchange

Hey Gang,

I have a VZW iPhone. Recently I've been getting the 'Invalid password' pop up on my iPHone when I take it out of sleep (seems to happen more when I have WiFi on).

If I click cancel a bunch of times my phone will connect to gmail and pull down whatever it needs.

I've seen this issue posted all over the Apple boards, yet nothing concrete. I did find a Google post where many have reported success with changing your username in the Exchange setup from username@gmail.com to just username. I made that change this AM, will see if it works.
