Hello, I've been trying to make my desktop look cool, and here's what I got so far. (attatchment)

If you can see, my dock has the white frame around it (2D Dock). And I want to get rid of that. Any suggestions?

I've tried putting it back to 3D and using CandyBar to change the dock to a blank picture... but CandyBar is being weird and not letting me do it.

Thanks in advance :D

I think customizing the GUI is a waste of time. You keep changing and changing and wasting time instead of getting actual work done. Now, that's just my opinion. Have you tried going into the System folder and delete the dock's background picture files? Download them from a friend or someone on these forums and use the defaults to replace the modified versions.

Hey guys, I've finally done it.

Thanks for the help and the comments!

What do you think? (It's final now :D)

This is really cool. What did you use to do this? And would it be easy to revert back to the default with what you used?

I meant like the whole desktop setup. Like how do you get the dock icons to display just words?

I just created the icons using Paintbrush. They are just regular PNG files (128x128). Then you just use the "Instant Alpha" feature in Preview to make them back ground invisible. Then you have to use an app called img2icns to create .icns files. Then you just replace the icons using Finder.

I did the exact same thing as Chase R, but instead of Paintbrush, I used Photoshop. And yeah, img2icns is one hell of a program :D
