Invisible screen question

Is the home button supposed to be uncovered? I remember seeing my friend apply one to his 3GS and he poked out the circle from the plastic where the button goes. Just want to make sure I do it right. Thanks.

and to answer your question. there are some companies that include the home button film. not much due to its curved design.
