Has anyone done this before? Thoughts?

My worry with the hard shell cases is that they scratch the computer and/or let dust particles and other nasty stuff in. Perhaps this will be prevented with the use of the Invisible Shield?

the speck case i had on my old mbp worked great, it got some dust behind it, but it wasn't the end of the world. And it protected it from getting scratched.

I heard that the dust can scratch the Mac. Is this true?

It can scratch it but only if you let it build up and never take the case off to clean it. Clean it once a month or so. More if you are really worried and it should be fine.

:confused: Just use your computer and stop worrying. You don't NEED both, I don't use anything on mine. The only thing I do use is an padded sleeve when I take it out and about.
