iPad Invitations for event?

Just as soon as they get confirmation on whether they can announce the Mini 2 (retina) this month or not.
 
For the iPhone 5s and 5c keynote. The invitations went out to the press 6 or 7 days before the September 10 event.

They don't give you much time

But then again, it's only journalists, and it might be fun to see them jump :)

Yeah, it will be fun to watch them jump, but I'd guess they're reserving time to cover this, and wondering how it will fit into other, known events coming in the second half of October (iPad, OS X Mavericks, maybe new Mac Pro, Windows 8.1, Surface 2, Android Kit-Kat), plus everyone else lining up announcements and release dates for the holiday season.

Good times for journalists with ADD.
 
According to several analysts, October 15th is the date for the iPad event. If that's true, we should be seeing invitations coming out tomorrow at 10AM PST (tuesday), or the following day (wednesday).

Apple tends to announce events 1 week or so before the date.
 
I was just thinking to myself, if there is an event on the 15th, wouldn't the invites have to go out this week?


hopefully they get sent this week!
 
shouldnt the event been confirmed by jim from the loop? he has said nothing about a iPad event happening at all this month. he did for the iPhone and that was weeks before the event actually took place.

Because no big news site posted about the event. Mostly he refers to a article with his yep.
 
i think invites are going out on the 16th with the event on the 22nd.. its too quite for to there to be invites going out tomorrow.. no buzz about it at all.

I agree, there has been no buzz. The iPhone 5s event had a solid confirmation quite a few weeks before invites went out i believe.
 
Take this with a rather large grain of salt, but yesterday on the news they said an announcement would happen this Tuesday. They then went on to say the new ipad would be out sometime this year.

Results being announced on the 28th.

If they announce event today.
Media event 15th.
Start sells for weekend of 18th.

They'll have some incredible numbers to prepare for the announcement on 28th.

If sales aren't until weekend of 26th... tight for gathering results from all sales partners, etc. and compiling etc.
