Hi

I have a mac mini with an iomega minimax 1TB drive running via USB. I chose this as the drive doesn't sleep when using firewire.

However, it now sleeps a little too readily. Usually thats fine, but for example if I'm downloading something via newsgroups, it will spin down during the download, and then spin up again when it needs to be accessed. This is odd as the newsreader (sabnzbd+) is set to use that drive for incomplete as well as complete downloads, so I would expect it to be used all the time the newsreader is downloading things.

Is there anything I can do to increase the length of time before the mini spins the drive down? I do want it to spin down as I leave the mini on 24/7, but don't use the external drive for long periods of time.
