iomega minimax or ultramax?

Hi

My iMac hard drive is starting to make clicking sounds, although not continuously. Thus I want to add an additional external drive to my system. I am doubting between the iomega minimax 2TB and the ultramax 2TB. The drive will be used for timemachine until the next upgrade.

The minimax can be stacked with a mac mini, but the ultramax can be used as a raid1 system and is 10 euro cheaper. But do I really need a raid1 system?

Also, are these drives quiet and reliable? My current time machine drive is loud as hell.

Neither. Definitely not the UltraMax.

Do you happen to know if any of them have a power switch and/or a USB hub like the minimax?

The UltraMax has a power switch, no USB hub.
