On previous versions of iOS, you could get a boarding pass with a simple swipe of the thumb on the lock screen. Now, when you swipe, you must Touch ID to open the pass. Or, if you force touch, you get a meaningless pop up with a button you then need to press to bring it up. Third option is double click home button to bring up wallet, then swipe away Apple Pay and select the boarding pass. All require multiple extra steps that are annoying when you're grabbing all your bags and trying to get to the TSA agent as quickly as possible. (This is using the AA app, but also seems United passes, and I'd imagine all others, would be similar)
