iOS 11 lock screen notifications not working

So my phone rings for all calls but if I don’t answer or miss it, there’s no missed call notification on the lock screen. When the phone is locked I get the sound for a text message but again, no lock screen notification. Had the problem on my 7 plus updated to iOS 11 and now on my new 8 plus. Anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it?

I haven't opened my new iPhones yet so not sure. Maybe check under notifications to see if they are enabled ?

Notifications are definitely enabled. The sound happens when they come in, they just don’t show on the lock screen.

Damn. Not another issue I smell one or two software updates coming soon maybe. Idk

I really hope so because it’s serioisly annoying to find messages or calls from whoever knows how long ago because they’re not showing up
