So... after a week away from the beta (I was having a boot loop) I decided t give it a spin again. This time iOS is running as smoothly as any minor beta, and I been able to use multitasking as intended.

I think this highlights the home button will be gone sooner than later.

You’ll see, the iPad app switcher or ‘spaces’ as is now called made it ‘difficult’ for us to close apps and also merged with the cc. I believe this is intended so we essentially spend time on there instead of the homescreen, like a command center. I opened all my ‘functional’ apps (extension apps, like ad blockers or widget apps were excluded) and then I set up a few apps together; the result was surprising, I spend more time looking for apps here than opening up spotlight or going homescreen to look for apps. This of course result in me using the home button a lot less.

Add to it that Siri can handle most of the system settings or open apps and can be activated with a voice command. Also anytime you swipe up to the spaces area you can tap anywhere on the blur and go quickly to homescreen.

As a result spaces is a more important area to iOS and if you can adapt to swiping up every time just to look for and app or exit to homescreen, you’ll see the not only redo the app picker, but essentially replace the homescreen in functionality.

Let me know what you think, maybe I overlooked something.
