ios 14.2 - passcode unlock delay

I am on 14.2 with a 12 Pro Max

After keying in my passcode, it pauses 1 sec before the phone starts to unlock. This happens only after i have locked the phone and left it idle for 30seconds or so, than proceed to unlock it.

Anyone has solutions? Already did a Reset All Settings and restarted the device. Anyone with similar issues?

Seems your options are wait to see if future updates help (unlikely) or deal with the 1 second delay.. You're the first one to mention anything about the subject on this forum which means others haven't noticed or aren't bothered by it...

It doesn’t really bother me because I barely use my passcode, but I have noticed this on my 12PM with 14.2.

Just brought the set to the Apple Store, the technician’s phone which was an iPhone 12 had the same issue. I rest my case

anyone knows if this is fixed in ios 14.3 beta 2?

It should be fixed in iOS 14.2.1, try updating to it

I have the same problem with my 12 pro. The phone lags while unlocking the screen with my passcode.
