Sequence - while paired to merc benz 2008 bluetooth and after iOS 14.6 upgrade - this is normal operation and ifone response -
dial a number on the keypad - call - call answered - the key pad remains on the screen and the green call button turns red - call can be abandoned or keyboard can be used for inputting account numbers or selection of audio prompts
Sequence - normal fone use now and not connected to car bluetooth
dial a number on the keyboard - call - call answered - screen goes blank - press home - key pad returns to screen with red ifone- but iphone 6s frozen - call cannot be abandoned on red ifone press and keyboard does not work - pressing power off brings up the 'slide to power off' but it does not work - ifone frozen requiring a restart/reboot so home+power off pressed
issue started after iOS 14.6 upgrade. Because the correct ifone operation is indeed available (but when connected to car bluetooth), there is nothing wrong with the ifone which does axactly what it should. But, if not otherwise connected to a car, ifone freezes indicating a software issue.
Is there any means of fixing the issue apart from buying a new iphone or waiting hopefully for a fix. I cannot down grade to 14.5.1. Apple should allow for a downgrade should an issue like this appear in a new version.
