I have 2 Apple TV’s. They both show up in the remote app. Both paired but as soon as I switch from one Apple TV to the other in the remote app the app crashes. Only way to get control of the Apple TV is to unpaid from one and control the other.

Anyone else notice this issue before I submit a bug report?

Same issue here. If I use the Remote App and switch Apple TV’s, the app hangs for a few seconds and crashes back to the main screen. Oddly, the remote app in control center works just fine…

It’s been doing this for me since ios13 and on both my iPhone 11 Pro and 12 Pro. Persisting through 14.6. No biggie since the control center version has always worked fine, and we usually use the Harmony remote. Just annoying…

My network is eero which gets updated regularly…

I recently switched four of my ATV3's to ATV4K's and none of them will appear in the remote app. Only the one ATV3 that I am still using.

I have the same issue
The Apple TV app hasn’t been updated since 2016. The Apple TV remote is now built in to IOS through the control centre. Make sure that it is active by going to Settings -> Control Centre, after which you get to the Apple TV remote via the control centre (swipe up on the iPhone, and from the top right on the iPad, and you will see the Apple TV Remote icon. This works perfectly for me on my iPad (IOS 14.6) with 3 Apple TV’s in the house (2 4K, 1HD) - crashes like all of you when I use the old App. However, on my old iPhone (IOS 12), the Apple TV’s can be controlled by both the App and via the Control Centre. Hope this helps.

I did have the same issue also. The solution was to remove all the AppleTVs from the app, delete the app, then redownload it from the purchase history section in the App Store app. I then added the AppleTVs back to the app.

Hope this helps!

I tried this. Although it worked when I connected my ATV 4K (2021), it crashed when I added either my original ATV 4K or ATV HD. I would still suggest using the remote that can be activated from the control centre, which works flawlessly with all three devices.
