Am I the only one who doesn’t care for the new look with widgets? I just downloaded this beta on my old iPhone 7 and comparing it to the far left widget page, seems Apple is taking a step backwards.

Screen shots of what I’m taking about!!

iOS 13 is far more functional and informative keeping the widgets page only to the far left and out of the way!!

Widgets take up too much of the screen IMO
I personally would like customization to move apps freely and where we like over this widgets crap!!

I hope it gets better by the time the final public release hits.

I do love the App drawer but that’s it based off the new home screen look.

I like the new widgets, but I do t like the App Library it can’t be customized.

I like the new widgets. I keep most of them on the far left screen, with the exception of the smart stack, which I have on my main screen. I never kept that screen full of icons anyway, so the stack just fills the unused space. everything else is in folders on page 2.

Honestly miss the old widget layout and just updated to the beta for increased privacy (wifi private address) and banner calls. Don't have any widgets on my home screen.

I only have two widgets on my Home Screen. One is a stackable widget (weather calendar, news, pictures, and notes) top left and the battery widget on the bottom right corner.

I don’t think the new OS is meant to overwhelm anyone with glee. I think it is primarily focused on refinement, stability and with a few new features thrown in.

Another San Antonian!

To answer the thread, I like them. Are they perfect? Nah. Are they useful? Not really.

But I’m hoping this eventually leads to some third party widgets being supported down the road. At the very least it finally provides some additional customization. Gotta start somewhere.

I haven’t tried the beta version, but from what I’ve seen on YouTube and news articles, I’m looking forward to the re designed widgets. I think it looks pretty clean.
