Can someone on iOS 14 beta check if it is possible to perform an iCloud backup and/or install iOS updates while connected to Personal Hotspot of another iOS device?
Until iOS 13, it was possible to install iOS updates while connected to Personal Hotspot but it has since been blocked. As far as I know, it hasn’t been possible to perform an iCloud backup in the past.
I don’t have a secondary device available to install the beta so it would be great if someone could test and report back on this.
I have a unique family situation where my grandmother doesn’t have WiFi at home (and no easy access to someone else’s either) and has simply used the Hotspot method in the past to keep her iPad and iPhones up to date.
