iOS 15.6 includes enhancements, bug fixes and security updates.

• TV app adds the option to restart a live sports game already in-progress and pause, rewind, or fast-forward
• Fixes an issue where Settings may continue to display that device storage is full even if it is available
• Fixes an issue that may cause braille devices to slow down or stop responding when navigating text in Mail
• Fixes an issue in Safari where a tab may revert back to a previous page

If they released an RC2 it’d be for serious security exploits.
Battery life isn’t on their priority list right now, iOS 16 is.

I have noticed with RC2 my iPhone 13 Pro Max is little warmer to touch. Will see if this changes in next few days.

Firmware is always fixed to iOS.
So yes, downgrading to iOS 15.5 will also downgrade the modem firmware.

Edit: Yes I was..... for some reason resetting the Privacy & location settings, and then it asking to trust my computer again sorted the issue.

I can’t say I’m experiencing the same. I installed RC 2 via IPSW, for what it’s worth.

After updating to iOS PB 15.6 and 16, you can no longer see the battery level of AirTags in the Find My App.

Installed it and feels and acts exactly like iOS 15.5 you wouldn’t even know you have an update
