Did anyone else notice there is an IPSW for the iPhone 6? Not 6S.

Someone with an iPhone 6 should see if iOS 15.8 will install on it...

I just downloaded this update on my old, retired iPad … I had read this update was available and so turned on the old beast just to keep it current. It downloaded fine, then I went to install it, but I keep getting a message it can’t be verified because I am not connected to the internet …. But I am, I can update Safari web pages with no problem, and of course I downloaded the update. I rebooted, but still have the same problem message. Any ideas ?

Telstra (Australia) is reporting that the 15.8.6 update has been paused.

Incoming 15.8.7 update ASAP?

As above, perhaps because it's no longer being signed.

UPDATE — without doing anything except wait for 24 hours, the update verified itself and installed. It appears Apple fixed the issue on their end.

Apple is signing 12.5.8, 15.8.6, and 18.7.4 again as of this afternoon.

The issue is with 16.7.13 on Telstra Australia. Users can back up their data, wipe the device by installing 16.7.12 which is still being signed. This will erase all data!

iPhone 8 IPSW 16.7.12

iPhone 8 Plus IPSW 16.7.12

iPhone X IPSW 16.7.12
