iPhone 12 iOS 15 is much smoother

I’ve got several reports praising the performance of iOS 15, describing the animation on iOS 15 “much smoother” than iOS 14.
Is that true?
How’s it when compared to the also-much-smoother iOS 14.7?

Yes the beta has been out since yesterday for developers. Public beta in July.
Of course, as happens every year non-developers do manage to instal the first few betas - this year, they're in for a treat as doesn't seem to be any show-stopping bugs and performance is indeed 'snappy' and battery life seems OK so far.
I have the betas on iPhone 12 Pro, Apple Watch 6, iPad Pro M1 and a MacBook Pro M1 and am surprised how well they perform for a beta 1. I expect at some point before public beta we'll hit the usual performance regressions as Apple work through issues and test various features.

I've had it on my 12 Pro since yesterday afternoon and I can say it is very smooth. It's hard to compare without a second device running iOS 14 but yeah, I'm extremely happy with it.
