Is anyone else seeing this:

  1. Play a song in Apple Music
  2. Send audio to a HomePod mini, running audioOS 16.1
  3. Problem 1: Notice that the volume bar doesn't show the audio volume, ever
  4. Problem 2: Trying to turn the volume down with the volume down button, while in the Apple Music app, the volume doesn't change
  5. Problem 3: Try to turn the volume up by pressing the volume up button 1x, the audio volume drops to the absolute lowest level on the HomePod mini
I keep hoping that this will get fixed with the next update, but no joy. I have force restarted my iPhone 13 Pro, still no joy. Curious if anyone else has these same problems...

I have a similar problem. I can no longer switch my iPhone to control an already-playing HomePod and alter the volume.
The volume control indicates the volume level is at max. when it's not, and is no longer interactive…

HomePod playback and interaction in general feels smoother and more reliable after updating to latest beta across all devices and updating the architecture in the Home app :)

Weird. I still have my original issue. Simply cannot see the volume at all, and the behavior is backwards, initially.
