I updated my iPhone 14 Pro to 16.2 and immediately after doing that my Apple Watch Series 6 GPS started draining battery. I had a fully charged battery at 8am, and by 12pm it was at 9%. I then updated to WatchOS 9.2 last night to see if that would fix the drain, but it hasn't. I had 96% charge this morning and within 1 hour I was down to 69%.

Any thoughts? I know that sometimes after updating to a new WatchOS the first 24-48 hours there is more battery drain, but this started happening before I even updated to the newest WatchOS.

I assume you’ve done your power cycles already on both, correct?
Yes, correct. I will do another now where I turn both off, then turn iPhone on, and then turn watch back on, but not sure if that will help or not since this started prior to new WatchOS. But can't hurt to do it one more time, I guess.

It's still happening. I restarted both devices and then charged my watch to full and it went from 100% to 46% in about 1.5 hours.

My ultra has not seen any battery drain issues thus far. I still need to update the phone though.
