iOS 16.3 (20D47) & watchOS 9.3 (20S648): Sleep stages not captured by Apple Watch in Sleep App during manually activated sleep focus outside of Sleep schedule even if ‘Use Schedule for Sleep Focus’ is toggled OFF.
Expected behaviour:
If Sleep focus is manually activated for any duration during the day, the Apple Watch must capture sleep stages during the said period of action of activation. The sleep stages must be captured irrespective of ‘Use Schedule for Sleep Focus’ toggled ‘ON’ or ‘OFF’ in the sleep app/ Health app.
Further, the sleep stages must also be captured during the scheduled sleep focus activation any time of the day.
It must also be possible to configure multiple sleep schedules on any given day. For example, it should be possible to configure one sleep session from 10 PM to 04 AM, second session from 06 AM to 09 AM.
Observed behaviour:
If Sleep schedule for any day is activated, then for that day Apple Watch captures sleep stages only for the duration of sleep schedule- irrespective of ‘Use Schedule for Sleep Focus’ toggled ‘ON’ or ‘OFF’. For such days, the sleep stages are not captured for duration outside of sleep schedule even if sleep focus is manually activated on the Apple Watch for that period. This is not expected behaviour.
It is also not possible to configure multiple sleep schedules on any given day. There is only one sleep Schedule configurable on any day.
Anyone else.
