iOS 16.5 - Notifications not working consistently

Ever since updating to iOS 16.5, Notifications are only working sometimes. When I receive text messages on various third-party messaging apps like WhatsApp, Viber, and Line, I often do not receive a Notification. None of my settings have changed. When someone tries to give me a voice call on WhatsApp, it doesn't ring nor do I get a Notification that I missed the call. It's only after I open such apps do I finally notice that I missed text messages and calls.

Is anyone else here having problems with Notifications after updating to iOS 16.5?

yes here the same.

I use WhatsApp and here I noticed it yesterday. I received 2 - 3 messages that are displayed to me normally on the lock screen. But I have not read the messages.... At some point, I wanted to read them and the lock screen was blank. After opening WhatsApp, the unread messages were displayed to me again. I can also recreate this. Message received and just leave it...sometime the lock screen is empty again....

Whether this also happens with other messages (calendar, iMessage, etc.), I can not say.

I've had this happen a few times on older versions of IOS too. Strangely some apps would still be fine notification wise. Last time my GMail notifications were all missing.
Anyway it's a bit cliché but try rebooting the phone, that helped me.

I tried that a couple of times (I usually turn my phone off and on around three times per day) and the lack-of-notifications problem is still there. There was no improvement.

My iPhone still has the problem I described in the OP, even though I tried a "force restart" around five times (once per day during five different days). This is a "force restart":

My wife is unable to receive any notifications from the Home app on her phone (14 Pro Max on 16.5). Works fine on all of her other devices...... but nothing on phone. have checked all settings, removed/re-added to home, removed device and re-added etc, toggled all settings........ but nothing has fixed. Any help gratefully received!!

I updated to iOS 16.5.1 last week, and the same problem still exists. It has not been fixed in any way.
