Has anyone noticed that if you try to react to an sms message that has already been reacted to (by someone else in a group chat) that nothing happens? Your reaction will not display if you try to add a 2nd one.
 
If it is SMS as opposed to iMessage, I'm not even sure that would be possible. I don't think standard SMS carries the context of what upstream text is being "liked" I could be mistaken though as I avoid SMS like the plague.

It’s a feature in iOS 16 and Android has done the same thing. Seems like it doesn’t play nice in group chats though.
