iOS 16 release today, watch OS 9

Just updated my AW. it took almost 2 hours. Like the Nike watch faces!!
Is Watch OS 9 stable? I need AW for telephone and text alerts I can't miss, mission-critical.
Mine shows the option to update but the Download and Install button is dimmed so I cannot click on it.

ugh... so... that's why I can't upgrade to watchOS 9, it's dependant on iOS 16 and I have a perfectly fine iPhone 7 Plus :/

I thought my watch was an independent device, but apparently its just a remote screen for my phone iOS :/
Yeah, dunno why it took so long. Mine was 3 hours. Was getting worried, but it works great.
the modular watch face has been effed up - I hate that I can't put the date in the middle and other choices like were in the last version.
Finished installing watch os 9 a few minutes ago, but I don’t see Metropolitan or other new faces. Anyone else???

I finished updating my iPhone to OS16 and AW7 to OS9 this afternoon. Still going through all of the features, but looks like a great update. I really like the new compass app. I’ve been playing with it today. One thing I can’t figure out thought is…..how to “set” waypoints. Let’s say I’m on a hike and I’ve got the compass app open and want to set a waypoint at the current fork on the trail that I’ve come to. I can’t figure out what the step are to do this. I know the parked car waypoint is created automatically. But what about other waypoints you want to add? Anyone know how to create these other waypoints?
I had to turn the phone on and off to get the nike faces to show up
You click on the icon in the bottom left corner. You can then set colour and/or icon and then save.
Ah…yes, gotcha. So simple…but missed it. I was thinking that’s where you went to name/label waypoints that had already been created. I see how it works now. Thanks!
