So a couple of weeks ago my iPhone 13PM and my iPad M1 Pro both updated to iOS16.1. Last week my phone went back to 16 but my iPad is still on 16.1, anyone else have this?

I have to disagree. Please see the screenshot. This is from the iPad but I did have the same on my phone for a week or so.

Honestly my phone had the same for about a week. They updated on the same day but the iPad never went back
What do you mean your iPad never went back? Unless you have special access to iOS 16.1 when no one in the world has it I don’t see how that’s a possibility.

I don't know but as the screenshot above clearly shows my iPad is on 16.1

I’m confused as to why you’re being confused. iPadOS is on 16.1 right now. It’s not going back in beta testing to 16.0.
iOS on the other hand is still 16.0 and is actively tested. You’ll have the final beta (RC) released next week after the event.

Repeating myself again, iOS and iPadOS are not on the same versions in beta testing anymore.

I’m confused because my phone spent a week on 16.1 as stated in the original post. Trying to treat me like I’m stupid isn’t really helping

I’m saying that’s not possible as they never publicly released iOS 16.1.

I’m going to be open and ask you what version of iOS are you running on your iPhone right now?

As also stated above it’s now on 16, it stayed on 16.1 for about a week. Maybe the wording attached to the release was just wrong and it was 16 but displaying 16.1 but it definitely displayed iOS16.1

If it updated to iOS 16.1 then you can’t downgrade to 16.0 without manually downloading the IPSW and updating using a Mac. And there hasn’t been any reports of anyone accidentally getting updated to 16.1.

The only two possibilities I see

1. A glitch that briefly showed iOS 16.1 incorrectly
2. Your memories kinda overlapped between iOS and iPadOS.

I’ll go with option 1, a text glitch in the as i definitely remember both devices displaying 16.1

OhMyMy is correct. What Martint is stating is not technically possible and they have convinced themselves that 16.1 on iOS is now a fact. They have then proceeded to ignore legitimate factual information in order to cling to misinformation.

I prefer ohmymy response that it was a possible glitch in the deployment since corrected rather than your implication that I’m stupid

Not saying you are stupid. Just saying that you are mistaken and you are looking for an excuse to bail you out versus stating you may have been wrong. BTW, iOS 16.1 doesn't come out officially until October.
