It's all about the Battery and it's Health on here during the iOS 17 cycle.

I'll drop a post in, like below, to sign post a new beta, so you can mark the development.

This will help keep the other iOS 17 forums more focused and on subject. Thanks.

Battery looked good over night for its first sleep.

Just lost 15% in an hour, just listening to a podcast (using Overcast) with AirPods (on beta as well). But that's all to be expected the first day of a beta and doesn't necessarily mean it will be bad in the entire beta.

Try a hard restart.

I always do a couple after an install a few hours later. Just helps settle anything.

Yeah just did when I put it on the charger. But the first day can always be a bit rough battery wise. I knew what I was getting into ;)

My battery life seems to be way worse than iOS 16.6 b1, not that I am complaining this 1st beta of iOS 17 has been super smooth considering.
I'd say my phone lasts about 60-65% of iOS 16.6 b1, I have all log collections turned to max to help Apple root out bugs. I presume people who turn them off have better battery life and less overheating.

First few hours it is eating battery but that's expected.

See how it handles tonight and after 24 hours.

Yup it’s been using mail in the background 100% of the time since install. I’ve had to turn off notifications & did a restart to stop it. (See my photo above comment)
how solved this problem…mail app always eat battery
