I’m trying to update my m4 pro to 18.1b1 via my Mac using finder. Issue is that when I select the update file and try to start the update I get a pop up stating “A software update is required to update your iPad”, presumably because finder needs an update to work with the 18.X install files, for which I click “install” however after about a minute of the update “downloading” it fails and the pop up displays “Install Failed” “Can’t install software because it is not currently available from the Software Update server.”
Has anyone here updated via Mac/Finder and been able to do so successfully? If so, what version of Mac OS are you on and did you have this “software update” pop up occur?
This is been the case with every version of the 18.X updates.
Please don’t say “just use OTA”, that is not helpful and not appreciated.
