Hello,

I got a weird bug after upgrading to iOS 18.3.1, nothing changed, and I did not drop the phone. Upon installation, I opened the camera and it was stuck on a black screen, not working, along with the flash not working as well.

I opened the settings and it says maybe the camera is not original even though I never repaired the phone or changed its parts.

Something is off after iOS 18.3.1. My options are either a hard reset and trying my luck after restoring, which would cost me an iCloud upgrade to backup my data, or to pay for a service provider. Both costing money.

If anyone knows of this bug or could support, I would greatly appreciate it.

I assume you did a forced restart. If so, see what others say, but I think I would try reloading iOS. Maybe it was a glitch in the update, maybe not. If the reload doesn't solve the issue, you can decide what to do next an go from there.

Not to necrobump too badly, but...

I've been seeing the same sort of issue repeatedly since 18.2.1.

Reloading or upgrading to the next release will fix it for an indeterminate amount of time, but the issue will pop up again.
