Ever since installing iOS 18.3 betas on my iPhone 16 Pro Max, I’ve noticed that my phone has been dropping WiFi connections quite frequently, forcing me to reboot in order to reestablish internet connectivity. Prior to this, I almost never experienced this problem. Has anyone else noticed something like this? I’m on beta 3 and it shows no signs of going away.

What did you change it to?
It didn’t work, so I bought a different router, which seems to work fine. The problem wasn’t with 18.3 but with the firmware on the previous router, which updated on January 1. Prior to the update, everything worked beautifully, but the new firmware definitely had issues.

That's good input for many others that might have network issues. Its easy to blame the iOS update (and have done so myself in the past) but a good few times it has been either me having updated or that I had to update periperhals for it all to work fine again. The same might be applicable to battery drain issues.

What router brand and model did you have?
Did you upgrade to a newer Wifi-standard than the current one you had issues with?

I had a TPLink AXE7800 router. I replaced it with a NETGEAR Nighthawk RS300 triband WiFi 7 router. I had some problems with dropped connections so I emailed NETGEAR tech support. Such incredible tech support I have never seen from any company! They got back to me right away with a firmware update that seems to have solved the problem, and the connection is lightning fast. They sent me a dedicated tech support number in case I needed to phone them for additional support, which I haven’t so far needed. Absolutely amazing! I can’t recommend this router strongly enough; it’s a gem!!!
