Apple employees are testing iOS 18.4.1 for iPhones, according to the MacRumors visitor logs, which have been a reliable indicator of upcoming iOS versions. The software update will likely be released in a week or two, if not sooner.

As the version number implies, iOS 18.4.1 will obviously be a minor update that addresses software bugs and/or security vulnerabilities.

There are no developer or public betas for minor updates like iOS 18.4.1.

iOS 18.4.1 will be a stop-gap update ahead of iOS 18.5, which remains in beta testing. iOS 18.5 will likely be released to the general public in May, and so far the update includes only two minor changes in the Mail and Settings apps.

The first iOS 19 beta should be released following the WWDC 2025 keynote on June 9.

Wow, the break-neck pace of innovation at Apple is staggering. Apple just released the ALL NEW iOS 18.4, the BEST iOS that Apple has ever released for iPhones. Apple then released a beta of iOS 18.5, slated to be the MOST POWERFUL version of iOS 18 that Apple has ever released and now we learn they are ALSO developing iOS 18.4.1, the BEST version of iOS 18.4 that Apple has ever released. Tim Cook sure wasn't kidding when he said the pipeline has never been stronger!

Well I rather get updates than none at all. I appreciate all the bug fixes. I work for a software company where critical bugs take months to fix. Even when it as simple as changing something from 6-digits to 8-digits character change took one day to fix and 2 months to deploy..🤦🏽‍♂️

Good, this was needed. Hopefully they will not pull this and stop it from being signed the next time they follow it up with an even buggier update

Maybe this will fix broken front camera processing on 16 pro?
Hopefully it fixes the battery drain on the iPhone 15. I'm not the only one in my family/friends circle experiencing this drain, so it's definitely not PEBKAC.

On your 16 Pro or everyone’s 16 Pro? Just trying to understand why you would think everybody’s “front camera processing” is broken.

I know how you feel my 14 has been terrible with battery life since I updated 18.4 the battery just does not last at all

I have the notification center stutter bug on three devices running iOS 18.4.

It’s driving me crazy.

Has anyone stumbled upon a bug fix by any chance?

The animation is also jerky since 18.4, they also changed the animation : when you scroll and get to the bottom of the stack, like.. it's more “elastic”, I don't know how to explain. I much preferred it the way it was before.

Do Apple employees visit this site on purpose during internal testing? They must know it’s being logged, no? Genuinely curious how that works.
Yeah I was interested in that reference. You could put two and two together, I see where some of the potential rumours come from. I'd be mighty careful as an Apple employee.

Should be a very minor bug fixing update. Yet to update my phone to 18.4. Now thinking whether I should wait a bit more and update to the upcoming version.

I remember when OSX, etc were all so good that you had no idea when the next update was coming because it was that polished. What’s going on with update after update nonstop with Apple these days?

Hope that they will fix the problem with notifications, when your device is locked and idle for 10-15 minutes and then notifications doesn't arrive from WhatsApp, Telegram and other apps until you unlock the screen and go to the app. I see, that this happens because iPhone ends established connections to TCP/5223 port (that uses for APNS - Apple Push Notification Service), when device is locked and idle for 10-15 minutes. Its annoying.

Potential 0.1-day malfeasance?

Increased connectivity/download-pipes?
