Hi I just wanted to ask if anyone else has had their battery go down hill like I have with 18.4 I have a iPhone 14 and immediately after updating to 18.4 my battery life sucks. I can’t walk away for hardly any time with out keeping it charged I can have 100 percent charge and within a hour and half down to 60 percent my battery was fine before the update but just
Terrible now tried to get it swapped out for a new one but was unable to because my battery is at 82% charge so I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue because of 18.4

Sounds like something is very wrong. I have a 14 as a workphone and its running fine on 18.4.
My advice is to...

* Make sure apps are updated
* Backtrack if you installed new services/software roughly at the same time as when you updated.
* Check battery statistics for what's draining the battery
* Update periperhals in the home, router, smart devices, BT devices that used with the phone.
* Try troubleshooting such as disabling BT, then Wifi or similar to try and find what might be draining the battery.
** Since its training quickly it should be farily easy to troubleshoot.
* Reset network settings
* Sign out from icloud to see if that makes a difference.

Theres alot more that can be done but that's a start for things to check.
Good luck.

Actually came in here to see if anyone else was having this problem. Mine doesn’t sound as bad as yours, but it dies about halfway through the day (iPhone 16 Pro Max) whereas before I only really had to charge it at night.

Double-check your Accessibility settings. Make sure Eye Tracking and Voice Control are off. They got turned on automatically for some people on older betas/releases. One of those bugs that keeps popping up every couple months. Those features gobble up battery.

I’m in the same boat. Battery life on my iPhone 16 Pro took a big hit on the official release. I had no problems on the beta. I’m on the fence of restoring my phone.

same with iPadOS18.4

I do suspect Safari too.. Don’t remember Safari topping the list before and I don’t feel like I’ve changed my usage pattern.

It is even worse for me in relation to other apps. Another guy in the iPadOS forums here detected iCloud Sync was the culprit for the battery usage of Safari. I am not too sure about that... Apple needs to do something! Lessons learned. I will wait in the future until I update to a major version.

Well good news it seems my battery 🪫 is doing better onced i updated to 18.4.1 looks like the bug that doing this is gone

It takes a week to stabilise, depending on storage used, ucloud sync etc etc et cetera
