I received a new iPhone 16+ Plus and started using it yesterday. Didn’t notice that the automatic updates weren’t working, so I’ve been using 18.6.2 this whole time. do I have anything to worry about security wise? In the process of updating to 26.2 now.

I'm curious why automatic updates weren't working, or why the device didn't prompt you to update as a normal new device would. Is the device only new to you, not unused new out of the box?
Ordinarily I'd say you are probably ok since you are not going to continue using the device with the old OS, and you are updating now.
