Apple at WWDC has announced iOS 18, which includes an overhauled Control Center interface with new customization features and the ability to add multiple control screens.

In iOS 18, Control Center has been redesigned to provide easier access to many of the things users do every day, and it gets new levels of customization and flexibility.

The redesign delivers quick access to new groups of a user's most-utilized controls, such as media playback, Home controls, and connectivity, as well as the ability to easily swipe between each.

In iOS 18, when you invoke Control Center with a swipe down from the top-right of your iPhone's screen, you can continuously swipe to get to more control center screens. There's a new controls gallery that lets you customize the controls you see, and you can change the size of buttons to emphasize priority. Additionally, developers can include controls from their own apps, enabling quick access to controls like remotely starting a car, for example.

The new Controls API from Apple also allows you to switch up the controls on your iPhone's lock screen, so you can replace the traditional flashlight and camera buttons with something more convenient to you. And if you have an iPhone 15 Pro, you can also assign Control Center buttons to the physical Action button.

i see there’s an easy power off button there
There's also a lack of carrier name in the left side. I'm guessing the carrier name is here to stay though, and the mockup demo excludes it... I really wish it would go away.

Edit: Yep carrier is still preset, weak

Love it! It’s basically turning into another widget dashboard but dedicated to settings and quick actions

I love the new design too, the current one started feeling a bit awkward with all the controls they added over time

And why circle icon next to rounded rectangle
Yeah, and also that will make it feel like the buttons are harder to hit (even if they aren’t). I dislike the circular buttons in the calculator for the same reason.

I hope you can add Shortcuts. I have a whole screen with nothing but Shortcuts widgets for home automation tasks for devices that aren't HomeKit/matter supported.

Back Tap in the Accessibility settings is definitely worth trying out IME
swiping down on the little bar at the bottom I think is better. You always have that, and you can sign back tap so some other useful shortcut. (the back-up doesn't work for me because the phone case anyway 🤷‍♂️)

Control Center was already nearly useless. More screens makes it...more useless?

As a control freak, this is paradise.

Will I actually be able to pin certain HomeKit controls to the main Lock Screen? I hope so. Before I just had to hope that what I use most was there. That’s why I made an evening and weekend Home Screen that has the home widget prominently in the center with everything I need.

I hope Kia updates their app to allow all of the controls for my Telluride X-Pro to be piped into Control Center. Or at least door locks and remote start with climate controls and heating/cooled seats! I pay them $150 a year for this crap so they should add it, but judging by the quality of the app, I somehow doubt they will add this anytime soon. Very much a B team of devs over there.

This is the best. Got rid of the useless stuff and did app shortcuts to a lot of my buried in folders apps that I use sometimes

Happy with the new look of Control centre and good to have more options to customise.
