The cosmetic items are fine let me start there. My biggest complaints are the laggy experience even on the 17 Pro and an M5 iPad Pro 13. Then there are the app notifications for pretty much every app where the red counter on the app icon just randomly floats off the icon and then may bounce back where it is supposed to be. I have tried all fixes including removing and reinstalling the app, changing notification settings, etc. It still happens all the time. On my TV 4K everything is super laggy and apps will just completely stop working and lock up after a day or so of use, with the only fix being to restart the Apple TV. My M2 Macbook Pro with MacOS 26 also seems to be extremely slow by comparison to what it was like before the update.
I keep waiting for an update to fix the notification bug, and the laggy nature of the whole OS, but so far I have not seen any improvement. I have no intention on going elsewhere, I am locked in to the Apple ecosystem, but the experience so far with the new OS has been less than impressive.
