So I've been using iOS 26 on iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro - and as we've all seen, it looks good and feels incredibly fluid.

I've been trying iOS 26 on previous pro devices and I could swear that it feels a lot more fluid on this year's devices. Am I just imagining it or is it actually the case?

Like it's not slow at all on the older devices, but it just feels more super fluid on this years phones.

Can anyone confirm if this actually officially the case?

Faster cpu + faster storage speed = better performance.

Yeah I get that for sure that it has better hardware.

But there's no reason why the hardware in the 16 pro, 15 pro, 14 pro can't have the same fluid animations.

I'm happy with the performance of course but I'm just curious. No tin foil hats, just... curious.

Feels perfectly fluid on my current 15pm. Haven't had any issues at all.
Will try it on my 17pm when it arrives, but I cant see it being any different then it is on my 15 TBH.

Software will always be optimised better for the device it was originally designed for...
