iOS 27 will good again.

I’m thinking that it will take until iOS 27 before everything is in a very good place again for the iPhone. This has been such a big update from iOS 18 that there are just too many things, little and not so little, to fix for the Devs.

I think iOS 26 is usable/ok, but it’s maybe just going to be one of the lesser years for the basic solidity.

Fair enough, as long as we get back onto solid ground in a year’s time.

Hoping for another bug fix/stability year like macOS High Sierra. Would be great to see for iOS.

I am much more optimistic. 26.1 / 26.2 will be fine I reckon. I only have a couple of minor issues with 26.0 if I'm honest.

Thing is, nobody thinks about older devices.

Tell that to iPhone 11 users, who will be stuck forever on iOS 26. It’s just wrong.

iOS 27 will have to be reimagined for the foldable, so I wouldn't expect it to be all about optimization and improvement. Ideally, later versions of iOS 26 will do that.
