iOS 4.0 iPhone 4 Audiobook Controls Missing

Since upgrading to iP4, I've noticed that some audiobook controls are missing. I no longer have the 30 second rewind feature, the playback speed "multiplier" or the scrubbing bar (left screenshot).The right screenshot is from a podcast screen, but is the same as what I had in 3.1.2. My files are in m4b format. Anyone else experienced this or have a fix?
