iOS 4.1 and Jailbreak issue

I am continuing to have issues JB'ing my iP4 on iOS 4.1. I had decided to delete and reinstall Greenpois0n after re-installing iOS 4.1.

I have successfully deleted and reinstalled GP on my PC. I am now having an issue with the iOS 4.1 software now however. When I install it (I've used several sources, including the link at iPhonetechie.com here: http://www.iphonetechie.com/2010/10/how-to-update-your-iphone-4-without-upgrading-the-baseband-with-the-help-of-tinyumbrella/), I am getting several files with the extension .dmg, and no .ips files...

I successfully updated to iOS 4.1 some weeks ago without issue (preserved my BB w/ TinyUmbrella). Now that I'm looking to restore again (to solve any potential issues since I'm still unable to Jailbreak with GP or Limera1n). Any idea why these files are DLing like this?

Anyone else having problems with getting HDR to work?? Mine keeps getting stuck on saving file. Sorry to hijack...
 
I'd prefer to get my firmware from Apple. It's not rocket science.

itunes.com/version

Search for the firmware version number you want. Make sure you are downloading iphone firmware and for the correct model.

Hackthatphone: I can't even read that site... I'll spend more time combing through it later if need be, but that's pretty intense for a noob like me...

Love that site, as it ties directly to Apple's servers. Super fast, and instantly updates when new firmware comes out.
 
Fixed. Re-DL'd 4.1 iOS from what was likely a better source (Thanks JayHawk). Deleted and re-installed GP and it worked like a champ.
