I have an iPhone 4 and 4.1 has really supercharged my battery. I am currently at 70% for 1hr 37 use and 24 hours of standby! Anyone else notice a big increase?

I noticed this also. I did also notice that the way I hold my phone to my cheek during a call make proximity sensor go crazy.:D

Weird...me too...I was on 4.1 GM and it was HORRIBLE...I restored as new with yesterdays update...and look at what I have now...

LOL! Don't tell me. Safari was snappier, too?

4.1 GM and the version you restored to yesterday are THE SAME. The only difference is that you restored, so clearly something was fubar with your own OS.

For the last time, the 4.1 GM and the 4.1 from Apple's site now are BIT FOR BIT IDENTICAL. They are THE SAME FILE.

Yea, I've noticed a change as well since installing 4.1. this morning. I've been at 100% for like the pass 3 hours.
I hope you know that the transition from 100%-99% is flawed, you're not really at 100% battery for 25 minutes of usage.

No, I wasn't aware of that. But, regardless, the battery meter still remained at 100% much longer than before. And I assume 4.0 also had the same 25 minute flaw, so it's kind of a moot point.

Just because it's a GM doesn't mean it can't change between that and the release date.

4.0 was the perfect example. The 4.0 GM had game center on it...the official release did not.

one of a kind

wow, your iPhone self-recharges to 100% for 3hrs! Amazing!
once you unplug it, it can never be truly 100%

I Ghent checked my battery but using istat and checking my memory it's almost completely full that doesnt get cleared out and lags the phone badly

4.1 Official update has really improved my battery over 4.1 GM.

I can goto sleep and wake up for wake and my battery is still 100%. Using it all day it's only at 92%!

When using 4.1 GM my battery would be down to 40%-50% with the same usage. Both firmwares were installed as new not back up from DFU mode.

Correct, and that was the only difference. However, the MDS Hash file from the 4.1 GM and 4.1 on Apple's server now are EXACTLY the same.

Keep kidding yourself if you must. Both 4.1 updates are the same file. Something else was causing your issues.
