iOS 4.2.6 for Verizon iPhone

Apparently, Apple released iOS 4.2.6 for Verizon iPhone (only) today. According to the note I read over on MacIntouch, the update:

Fixes a bug to ensure Personal Hotspot data usage is accurately reported (for Verizon iPhones).

I don't own a Verizon iPhone so I can't verify. The update is supposed to be available now through iTunes.

I didn't see this mentioned anywhere on the forum nor on the front page. My apologies if this is a repeat.

Apparently it was released almost 2 weeks ago

and many new Verizon users have been reporting all week that they were being prompted as soon as their phones were activated to update to iOS 4.2.6.

I wonder why Macintouch has it listed as a news item for today? Also, I found this:
