What are the major benefits/changes in the release 4.2 for the iPhone? It looks like most of the changes are geared towards the iPad. Is there anything noticable in this update for the iphone?

I think it's a version for iPad.:(
 
I guess it's to get every "i" device on the same release, even though it has almost nothing for the iPhone/Pod.
 
So iTunes keeps telling me that the Apple server can't be contacted. It's been an hour with the same message. Any suggestions guys?
 
ok, downloaded and installed, but I don't see these 17 different text messaging tones as stated on the 4.2 site. I just have the originals.

Go into an individual contact. Click EDIT. Scroll down to RINGTONE. Below that is the place to change the text tone.
AND, you can also change the default text tone to one of the new ones by going into SETTINGS>SOUNDS>TEXT TONE
 
i'm having major issues with wifi and airplay. airplay seems to work once, then is broken. same with wifi. it works for about a minute then I can't connect to anything. several reboots, network settings resets..no change. guess i'm reinstalling the software later when I have more time.
