IOS 4.3.5 GPS causes crashes

My wife and I have upgraded our iPhone 3S to iOS 4.3.5. Now they constantly crash and wont reboot until they are plugged into a power source. Turning of GPS greatly improves the number of time it crashes (now twice a day on average).

any ideas? anyone with similar issues?
