hi,
I have getting mixed reports on the personal hotspot feature in iPhone 3GS
Can any 3GS users on iOS 4.3 beta2 tell me whether they have the wifi sharing option in their Personal hotspot menu?

Wait, false alarm

Scratch that, it's still there, just moved from the main settings menu.

Go to General | Network and it's at the bottom.

Phew!

Do I need to contact AT&T to activate the hotspot? I see it in settings, but tells me I need to contact AT&T.

Bluetooth/USB only, as in beta 1.

Can anyone confirm if the Personal Hotspot feature is working on any of the UK phone carriers?
Ie O2
Cheers

Haven't installed B2 yet but in B1 you had to pay for a tethering bolt-on from O2 to activate it. This bolt-on is not available to PAYG customers (at least the web page it redirects you to says that).

the personal hotspot is dependant on you having internet tethering enabled on your account from what I can gather.

I dont have tethering enabled with Orange and personal hotspot isn't showing in beta 1 so I am just going off that really

It's not available to PAYG users. Confirmed with CS last week, as I switched from them to Three.

I can confirm that 3 in the UK has this feature enable and most of the new iPhone 4 contracts of £35 comes with all-you-can-eat data and tethering is included at no extra charge.
