iOS 4.3 Homesharing

I know this is a little premature since 4.3 hasn't really been released.

Is there a way to possible do this over 3G? I was thinking something about using VPN's or something. Something like using Hamachi to make a VPN between my iPhone and my Mac. I've tried looking on Google for something similar, but the results were less than expected.

I don't know the specifics of that certain one, but I don't want to have to upload my music to another server.

You don't have to. Stream to Me installs a server on your machine that hosts your iTunes library and punches a hole in your firewall so that you can access your data remotely.

It is discussed here, aprently the solution is to use openVPN.

I am trying to set it up now, i have open VPN acces server on my ESX server and a open vpn client on my phone. I just have to learn how to fownload a config wile fron the server and get it into the phone.

If you read all the way through the thread you linked to, you'll see they still haven't gotten it working, so openVPN may not be a solution.
