I have the following 2 iPads:

iPad1 WiFi 32gb
iPad1 3G 32gb

Since updating to iOS 4.3, the 3G version seems less "snappy" than the WiFi. Not necessarily download speeds (since I don't even have a SIM in the 3G...I just like the GPS), but just reaction time and opening apps.

Anyone else experience this? I mean, the two are essentially the same since my 3G doesn't have a SIM card at the moment, right? Thanks!

No, they are not quite the same. The 3G model does still have the 3G transceiver, and it also has a GPS that the wifi lacks. Could this make a difference? Hard to say. The 3G model will necessarily have some active processes that the wifi will not, even when the hardware is not in use.

4.3 does not seem to me to be much of a performance improvement on the 3G, at least as far as Safari is concerned, but it may just be my slow pipe.
