ios 4 bluetooth address book issue

I have a merc iphone cradle (A2048202351) and after upgrading to ios 4 on my 3Gs I have noticed that all my contact names are missing when the phone syncs to the car. The telephone numbers are there but no names. Any one else with a similar issue or any thoughts?
