So I take it we can no-longer edit the Home Key actions, thanks to mulittasking.

But is there a way to make iPod controls appear double clicking the home key??? Right now they don't, and I can't seem to find a menu item enabling such a feature!

On an iPhone that fully supports multitasking? Double-click, then swipe to the right.

Not on an iPhone that supports multitasking? iPod controls should be the same.

swipe left when the multitasking menu is up.

Nice... But I assume Apple didn't include a way to default to the controls? (Meaning, you'd just swipe the other way to get to the app launcher?)

I would like the double tap to bring up my favorite contacts, like in OS3 (or perhaps triple tap, or double tap and hold, or something). Is this possible, at all?

That hasn't worked since beta 3 or 4.

That explains it... I could see it being a handy feature...

And I'm now a proponent of apple buying out Palm. It'd be 10x quicker to kill an active application if you could just treat the launch pad like "Cards"

Flick up and buh-bye app...

Gizmodo still has it listed as one of their "hidden iOS 4 features" article from today. Guess they didn't test it on the general release?!? :D

Which Gizmodo article are you looking at? For some reason the article on the MacRumors main page links back to the one they posted back in April.

Gizmodo does have an updated version, which I haven't flipped through fully yet, but I havne't come across the Double-tap and hold features yet!

thanks, but I'm wondering WHY they tool this away. I don't get apple sometimes. It was a feature, now it's gone. The double tap, and hold would be perfect.

Double tap and hold not working

Was so excited to hear to double-tap and hold the second tap would bring up phone favorites, but it's not working for me. It sucks big-time that they took this away. I used this feature all the time. Aargh
